Photographers, illustrators, designers, brands, archives, and other visual creators put real work into the images people see online. Blessings Heaven respects that work, and this page explains how images may appear across our personal finance, retirement, and senior living content, as well as what to do if you believe an image belongs to you.
If you are a creator or rights holder who has found your work on Blessings Heaven and would like us to review its use, you do not need to make the process complicated. We would much rather hear from you directly and resolve a concern quickly and respectfully.
Respect for the People Behind the Image
Visuals help Blessings Heaven make financial and later-life topics easier to understand and more engaging to read.
An article about retirement housing may benefit from a relevant home image. A personal finance article may use photography that illustrates saving, budgeting, work, family finances, or retirement planning. Senior living content may include homes, older adults, accessibility features, lifestyle settings, or other visual examples.
Those images come from different sources, and the rights attached to them can differ.
Blessings Heaven makes a good-faith effort to respect copyright, licensing conditions, creator attribution, and applicable usage rights.
Our Good-Faith Approach to Image Use
Blessings Heaven does not intentionally infringe the intellectual property or copyright rights of photographers, illustrators, designers, brands, publishers, or other creators.
Where third-party images appear, we believe their use is authorized through an applicable license, permission, public-domain status, or, where appropriate, falls within principles such as the fair use doctrine for editorial commentary, criticism, reporting, or other qualifying purposes.
We also recognize that image ownership and licensing information can sometimes be difficult to trace, particularly when an image has circulated through multiple websites or platforms.
If we have made a mistake, we want to know about it.
Our preferred response is simple: review the concern, verify the available information, and correct the situation.
How Images Arrive on Blessings Heaven
Images on Blessings Heaven may come from several different sources. The licensing conditions and attribution requirements can vary depending on where an image originated and how it is being used.
1. Licensed Stock Photography
Some visuals may come from commercial stock libraries or design platforms.
Examples can include services such as Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, Depositphotos, iStock, Getty Images, and Canva Pro.
When Blessings Heaven uses licensed stock material, it is intended to be used according to the license terms provided by the applicable platform or rights holder.
Stock photography is particularly useful for subjects where the image illustrates a general concept rather than a specific event. Examples might include retirement planning meetings, household budgeting, senior-friendly living spaces, savings concepts, or everyday later-life activities.
A commercial stock license generally does not mean Blessings Heaven owns the underlying copyright. It means the image is being used under rights granted by the applicable license.

This can include material found through Wikimedia Commons, Flickr Commons, Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, Burst, or comparable image platforms.
Individual licensing conditions may vary.
For example, some licenses permit broad reuse, while others require attribution, a link to the license, identification of changes, or continued distribution under similar terms.
When attribution is required by the applicable license, Blessings Heaven aims to provide it.
5. Brand, Press, Product, and Editorial Images
Certain articles may discuss businesses, financial products, services, public figures, retirement-related products, companies, or other subjects where a brand or editorial image helps readers understand what is being discussed.
Such material may include press photography, official product imagery, promotional photographs, screenshots, or other images originating from brands or publishers.

Using an image for editorial discussion does not mean Blessings Heaven owns the image or has any affiliation with the person, company, photographer, or brand depicted.
Where credit is required or appropriate, we aim to identify the original source or rights holder.
6. Images From Readers, Contributors, or Collaborators
From time to time, a reader, author, contributor, business, photographer, or collaborator may provide an image for use in connection with an article or other site material.
Blessings Heaven expects anyone submitting visual material to have permission to provide it for the intended use.
Submission of an image does not automatically transfer copyright ownership unless a separate agreement says otherwise.
If we later receive a credible ownership concern regarding submitted material, we will review it.
How We Handle Attribution
When an image license requires attribution, Blessings Heaven aims to give appropriate credit.
Depending on the source and license, attribution may appear in a caption, beneath an image, within an article, in a source note, or through another reasonable method.
Credit may include:
- The creator’s or photographer’s name
- The original source
- A link to the creator or source page where practical
- The applicable license
- A note identifying modifications where required
For brand, press, or editorial imagery, attribution may instead identify the company, publisher, photographer, press source, or other relevant rights holder.
If an attribution is incomplete or incorrect, please contact us. Verified attribution errors can be corrected promptly.
When Credit Is Missing or Incomplete
Blessings Heaven may publish a large amount of visual material across articles, archive pages, promotional graphics, and other areas of the website.
Despite good-faith efforts, an image may occasionally appear without complete attribution.
This can happen because an original source link stopped working, attribution information was incomplete when the image was obtained, metadata was lost, or an image circulated widely online before it reached us.
That does not mean the omission was intentional.
If you can help us identify the original creator or correct an attribution, we welcome that information.
If You Own an Image You Find Here
If you are the photographer, creator, copyright owner, authorized representative, or another legitimate rights holder, you choose how you would like us to address the issue.
You may request:
- Credit or corrected attribution. We can add or update the creator’s name, source, portfolio link, copyright information, or other appropriate credit.
- A change to how the image appears. You may ask us to review matters such as cropping, size, source links, watermark presentation, captioning, or another reasonable display concern.
- Complete removal. If you prefer that your work no longer appear on Blessings Heaven, tell us and we will review the request for removal.

We Aim to Respond Quickly
Blessings Heaven aims to acknowledge legitimate rights-holder requests within 48 hours.
Many straightforward requests can be handled faster.
When ownership is clear and a creator simply asks for an image to be removed, we can often process the change within the same business day after reviewing the request.
More complicated cases may take additional time if ownership, licensing history, or the source of an image needs to be verified.
A Simple Email Is Enough
You do not need to hire a lawyer or begin formal legal proceedings before contacting Blessings Heaven about an image.
A straightforward email is usually the fastest place to start.
Our preference is to communicate directly with creators and resolve legitimate image concerns without unnecessary escalation.
This informal contact process does not limit any legal rights that may otherwise exist. It simply gives us an opportunity to understand and address the concern quickly.
Help Us Find the Image Quickly
You do not need to prepare a complicated copyright file.
A few details make it much easier for us to locate the material and respond quickly:
- The Blessings Heaven URL where the image appears.
- A link to the original image or source, such as your portfolio, photography website, publication page, licensing record, or another reasonable indication of ownership.
- Your name and preferred contact information.
- Your preferred resolution, whether you would like credit added, the display modified, or the image removed.
If you do not have every item above, you can still contact us. Send what you have and explain the concern.
What Happens After You Contact Us
Once Blessings Heaven receives an image-rights request, we first identify the image and confirm receipt of the message.
We then review the ownership or source information provided. Where reasonable, we may compare it with the source information, license, archive record, or other material available to us.
Once the issue is understood, we take the appropriate action. That may mean adding attribution, correcting existing credit, changing the way an image is displayed, or removing it.
We then aim to follow up with the person who submitted the request so they know what was done.
Our goal is resolution, not friction.
